Is intelligibility your problem?

Before spending the difference, work out whether the loudspeaker is what is damaging your speech. Usually it is not.

A room with a reverberation time above about 2.0 seconds is destroying speech before the loudspeaker gets a say, and no cabinet upgrade will recover it.

Choose the DBR12 for most volunteer-run churches

There is one church profile where the DXR12mkII is worth every dollar: a room where the preaching is amplified loudly, the surfaces are hard, and the complaint from the congregation is specifically that they cannot make out words during louder passages. FIR-X keeps the crossover region phase-coherent, and D-Contour applies level-dependent shaping, so the voice holds together as the system works.

It is also the better choice for a permanent flown install in a mid-size to large room, where the extra headroom and the fly points both matter and the cabinet will not be touched again for years.
