The short version

ChurchSoundCalc is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

What that means in practice

When you click a product link on this site and then buy something, we may receive a small commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same as it would be if you had gone to the retailer directly.

Every product link on this site carries our affiliate tag. That includes the product cards, the product names inside paragraphs, the rows of the system build tables and the buttons. We do it that way deliberately rather than hiding a few links: if a link earns us money, it should be obvious that all of them do.

Why it does not change our recommendations

The honest answer is that the incentive runs the other way from what people assume. We are paid when somebody buys something and keeps it. A church that is sold a system too big for its room, or too small to do the job, returns it or replaces it early and never comes back to this site. Recommending the thing that actually fits is the commercially correct strategy as well as the right one.

That is why this site regularly tells readers to buy less: to skip a subwoofer in a small room, to skip drum overheads on an unshielded platform, to skip a fourth camera, and in one case to not buy the loudspeakers from a list at all because a room that size needs a design rather than a purchase.

Prices

Prices shown on this site were accurate when the page was last compiled and change frequently. Treat every figure here as a planning number for a budget conversation, and confirm the current price at the retailer before anyone votes on anything.

Other relationships

We do not currently accept payment from any manufacturer to feature, rank or recommend a product. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on the page in question and not only here. Citations to government and standards bodies, such as the FCC and the ADA Standards, are plain links and earn us nothing.
